Who We Are
ABOUT MARVIN JAYNE
I moved to Seattle in 1998, after four years of service in the United States Navy.
I currently work as a Metro Transit Operator since 2003.
I started designing for friends and have honed my skills through the experiences I have gained.
On my down time, I am involved in the LGBTQ community by playing & coaching softball. I love to hang out with friends, entertaining friends, and spend time with my partner of 3 years. I love traveling, and hope to travel to more countries in the coming years.
I’ve loved interior design since I was a child. I would arrange & design my bedroom around those “bed-in-a-bag” with matching pillows, curtains and beddings. Adding accessories and coordinating materials. My mother was a homemaker, and I would observe how she would carefully design our home, watch her receiving guests, throwing parties, making sure every detail was to perfection. No detail was overlooked in how she entertained & also how she designed our home.
My father was a businessman. I have learned from him strong work-ethics, how to be a team player & work with colleagues & clients, and the importance of business details.
Through influences from both of my parents, I carry those strong work-ethics, attention to detail & my love of design to every project I tackle.
I approach my client’s space as a puzzle; a problem that needs to be solved & I will solve it. By listening to my client’s “wishes” & “wants,” while also addressing their concerns, I want the finished product to be approachable, comfortable, and most of all, I want them to love their home & “feel at home” when they walk through the door; a well-designed home that reflect their lifestyle.
